TANNER, Captain/Tour Guide
Our U.S. Coast Guard Licensed Captain from the Carolinas, Tanner is in his element anywhere on the water. Since 2017, you may have seen Tanner leading jet ski dolphin/alligator tours, managing the world-renowned Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse, or even arresting felons as a Police Officer! If you can think of it Tanner will do his best to have a fun time making it happen aboard! From paddleboard surfing to filming commercials and marriage proposals. Memories for a lifetime are around the corner!
OUR STORY
Tanner and Sophia met at S Bar F Summer Camp as young high school students. Sophia enjoyed singing, art, and writing, while Tanner was active with sports and world travel. Sophia would grow into a professional Writing Consultant at Missouri State University where she graduated with a perfect GPA. Meanwhile, Tanner attended the University of Newcastle Australia, and the University of North Carolina Wilmington where he earned a Business Finance Degree and led multiple campus organizations.
Sophia landed many neat positions as an SEO Content Writer, Content Manager, and Marketing Lead. She continues to grow in her career writing novels and building her book review content on social media.
Tanner started out as an Analyst for the U.S. Postal Inspection Service, where he investigated white-collar crimes alongside the I.R.S.-C.I. and F.B.I. He later became a Police Officer and Restaurant Manager in the Myrtle Beach area. However, his true passion always leads to time on the water.
Much to their parents’ surprise, they got married nearly 8 long years after they met at the Venturing Scouts summer camp and quickly built their first business Seas The Day Sails!
After many high-speed summers on these waters, smooth cruising has become a new passion for this young couple! There is no better way for us to meet new friends than by sailing through this environmentally and historically rich passage!
